Unbelievable!

I thought this page would be just to show how NOT to drive a school bus… There will be no names mentioned here, nor districts either, but if you read along, you may find that there are some people who should not be out in public…Every profession has its bad apples…

Before we begin, I want to present what I consider to be the worst bus driver out there…Something snapped… Just hit the play button…

Here we go, hang on!

From Washington…

A school bus driver fired after she reportedly made an obscene gesture at President Bush has filed a union grievance in an attempt to get her job back.

The 43-year-old driver, whose name was not released, was driving middle school children back to school after a zoo visit on June 16 when the president and Republican Rep. Dave Reichert drove slowly by in a motorcade.

From the bus, the children waved; with the windows down in their car, Bush and Reichert waved back.

That’s when the driver gave the president the finger, according to Reichert and Issaquah superintendent Janet Barry.

“The congressman hadn’t seen it, but the president turned to him and said, ‘That one’s not a fan,”’ said Reichert spokeswoman Kimberly Cadena.

Niegowski said the firing was not politically motivated.

“The bus driver was not terminated for making an obscene gesture at the president. The bus driver was terminated for making an obscene gesture in view of the students,” Niegowski said. “That’s not the role modeling we need for our students.”

From Deleware…

A school bus driver was cited this morning for driving through high water on a closed portion of Del. 9 in New Castle, only to get stranded with two students on board.

New Castle police Lt. Adam Brams said the driver, was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and failing to obey a traffic device.

Brams said about 9:10 a.m. The driver pulled the bus onto the flooded roadway on Del. 9 near Army Creek on his way to Commodore MacDonough School in St. Georges.

The driver ignored the two sets of “Road Closed” signs and drove around them.

The water on that section of the roadway is waist-deep and awash with debris that has floated up from the adjacent marsh area.

From Pennsylvania…

Charges have been brought against a school bus driver after a 16-year-old boy said he sold the man prescription medication several times in February.

The driver is facing three counts each of criminal solicitation, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of minors. He was released on his own recognizance.

The teen told police his bus driver, asked him to get drugs to “help drug women and have sex with them.” The teen said he sold him Xanax and Seroquel that belonged to the teen’s mother, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed in the case.

The teen also told police that the driver sometimes bought him cigars.

On Tuesday, police interviewed the driver. He allegedly admitted to both requesting and paying for the drugs from the teen. He also allegedly said he bought the teen cigars.

“The Defendant stated that he knew it was wrong and that he was ‘dumb and stupid,” the affidavit filed by police reads.

Even the United Kingdom…

Many use gaming as a way to relax after a hard day on the job. Some may even take a temporary timeout at work and play a few minutes of their portable of choice. A bus driver decided that checking into Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for the PSP during his shift wouldn’t be too bad. There was just one problem–he’s a school bus driver. According to UK news site Sun Online, passengers reported the driver after they heard the game’s audio coming from the front of the bus. The driver apparently held the PSP between his knees and, according to one passenger, played at stops, traffic lights, and occasionally while driving. He will have plenty of time to play now, as he has been fired from the job.

West Virginia too…

A County school bus driver is the focus of an investigation after reportedly taking her bus to an adult sex shop in Cabell County.

The Logan County school bus was spotted at the Lion’s Den in Milton last Thursday.

Some people noticed a child on that bus as it pulled into the parking lot and other kids had been dropped off at a track meet.

Concerned witnesses late contacted authorities.

Police said the driver, shopped inside the adult store. They also discovered her daughter alone on the bus.

Russia too…

A schoolbus driver who sent a clip of a Russian soldier being beheaded to a 12-year-old girl’s cellphone faces a jail sentence.

The driver admitted sending the girl the 30-second video clip as he drove her to school. Magistrates in Yeovil were told that the girl was distressed by the video, which is believed to have been made by rebels in Chechnya.

The driver was arrested after the message was traced to his phone. … South Somerset magistrates were told that he sent the message as he took the girl to school in the village of Bower Hinton, near Yeovil.

As well as Illinois…

A six year old girl got off the school bus Tuesday afternoon with a story no parent wants to hear.

“She came home from school and said ‘Mommy I was horrible on the bus, the bus driver put tape on my mouth.’ And I didn’t believe it. I said what kind of tape? She says duct tape.”

The girl told her mom that another student scratched her and so she screamed. She says the bus driver, then pulled the bus over and put duct tape around her mouth.

“She was adamant about it. She said it really happened.”

Now the six-year-old is terrified to get on the bus.

“She said she was scared to ride the bus this morning so I’m not going to make her.” said her mom.

From our friends in Massachusetts…

A school bus driver has been suspended following accusations that he tried to choke a third-grade girl last week as students were dropped off at School.

The driver, who police did not name because he has not been charged, told police he could not remember whether he put his hands around the girl’s neck.

A teacher found the girl crying in a school hallway after she got off the bus Tuesday morning.

She told the teacher the driver had put his hands around her throat.

The school contacted her parents, who called police.

The driver, who has worked for the Michael J. Connolly Bus Co. a number of years but is not the regular driver on the girl’s bus route, could be charged with assault and battery, Muri said.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s office is helping police with the investigation.

There is surely more to come….
